Do you have a note from your mom in here too? (x)
dumb tiny panel from scott pilgrim vol 4 that i always thought was kinda funny. but it’s not funny now, because it’s out of context.
I just realized that when I move out, this house will be screwed when anyone needs help with technology.
1: Do you try to stay away from walkthroughs?
It depends on if I’m playing the game at the time, if that makes sense. I’m a fan of Let’s Plays (which I consider to be walkthroughs) and I will watch one on a game that I just couldn’t beat that I don’t play anymore. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is a perfect example. When that came out I couldn’t get passed the water temple, so I stopped playing that game and just last year I watched a Let’s Play on it.
3: Best game you’ve ever played?
This is a hard question for me, but I think I might have to go with Pokemon Soul Silver. Well, it’s the game I put the most time into. That has to mean something, right?
5: A popular series/game you just can’t get into no matter how much you try?
The first thing that came to my mind was the Final Fantasy series. Granted, I have only played Final Fantasy 13, but I only played about 20 minutes of that game and have never tried to play it again. I feel bad saying that I can’t get into the series, but it’s true.
7: A game you’ll never forget?
I’m going to try and keep from saying Halo on this because that would be an obvious choice, but I’m going to say Super Mario Bros. It’s another game I have not beaten, but I did get to Bowser’s Castle in world 8. I’ll always remember being so close to beating a classic game, but never succeed.
9: A game you turn your volume off every time you play it?
Pretty much every Pokemon game. Instead, I really like to listen to music or watch something in the background. I will turn the music on the game on when I know there is going to be a song that I really like though.
11: Hardest game you’ve played?
Paper Mario Sticker Star. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong, but I just cannot progress through that game very well.
13: A game you were the most excited for when it wasn’t released yet?
I am currently excited for Animal Crossing New Leaf and Mario and Luigi Dream Team. The only other game that I felt like this is not going to be on this.
15: Which two games do you think would make an awesome crossover?
Mario Kart and Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing. I am a huge fan of both of those games and it would be cool seeing 3rd party characters in Mario Kart.
17: What game do you never tell people you play?
This is a tie between Minecraft and Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3. Minecraft is on here because last year I bashed it for having no replay value whatsoever. Recently though I have started playing it again. Naruto because being a senior in High School people expect me to be over anime, but I still really love it.
19: Which game do you think deserves a revival?
Banjo-Kazooie? Please Microsoft? If you’re not going to do anything with the franchise why not just give it back to Nintendo?
21: How old were you when you first played a video game?
I was probably like 2 or 3. I have a picture of my dad holding me as an infant playing on his SNES. So maybe even before then. But I do remember playing Donkey Kong 64 before I started school when I was 4.
23: Biggest disappointment you’ve had in gaming?
Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts. Don’t get me wrong, I actually enjoyed this game. The problem is that it just wasn’t what I was expecting. I saw that promo video back in 2006 of the next-gen Banjo-Kazooie and fell in love. Then I got Nuts and Bolts.
25: Be honest; have you ever used cheats (like ActionReplay or Gameshark)?
I have, but I gave it away. I only used it on my Diamond version because I was bored of the game with nothing to do. When I got my hands on Soul Silver I told myself that I would not use ActionReplay on it, and I’m glad I didn’t. I definitely wouldn’t have put as much time and care into it as I do.
27: Has there ever been a moment that has made you cry?
Several. I would go and list them, but of course that would contain spoilers for games like L.A Noire and those certain games I don’t want to list.
29: Which is more important, gameplay or story?
This one varies immensely. How am I supposed to enjoy the story if the gameplay is terrible? If I find the story boring are there other features to keep me playing the game? Is the game short? Does it feel rushed? etc. There are different factors that play into each game. A majority of the time there needs to be a good mix of both of these elements.
Thank you so much, anon!
